Kevin Fugaro '06 - Actor, Writer

His acting credits include Roundabout Theater Company, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival, and Goodman Theater. He is a founding member of Hero Theater Company and can also be seen on Showtime's "Nurse Jackie".

Why I chose this profession:I first got the "bug" at UHS, where I was taught by Lorna Strand. Now, I work as a writer as well as a performer. As a wise person once told me, "You can study acting whenever, but you can only go to college once."

Cary Cronholm Rose '96 - Actress , Co-Founder of Tides Theatre

After graduating from Kenyon College I went to Second City in Chicago and trained there as well as Improv Olympic. When I moved home to SF I co-founded Tides Theatre in downtown Union Square. I was the Associate Artistic Director there and just resigned in Jan. 2014 to spend more time with my family and focus on acting. Navigating my path has never been a clear cut road, UHS taught me to follow my passion and gave me the necessary skills to make it work.

Why she chose this profession: I love performing live theatre. Powerful, evocative, story-telling can be a visceral tool to help us connect and empathize with our community at large. Website.
