Learn How to Rock Your Profile on LinkedIn: January 3, 2018
Want to give your LinkedIn profile a refresh? We happen to have an expert in the family: Aaron Fung '00, talent brand consultant and professional storyteller with LinkedIn, will host a one hour "Rock Your Profile" interactive seminar over videoconference for our community. Rock Your Profile sessions are designed to help people put their best professional foot forward to connect with peers, find a new job, or introduce themselves to a new organization. Click here to receive the webinar invitation for the UHS Alumni Rock Your Profile seminar.

Private UHS Alumni Group on LinkedIn
Nearly 1,300 people—or one-third of all UHS alumni—belong to our private LinkedIn networking group. You can use this group to introduce yourself to a fellow alum or ask Marianna Stark, director of alumni engagement and giving, to facilitate the introduction on your behalf. Once you've requested permission to join (formalities!), you can make announcements, start a discussion, or post a job opening with your company. Click here to join our LinkedIn group.

Are you an expert in your field and want to share what you've learned along the way with a fellow alum on his/her/their way up? OR are you thinking of switching jobs or careers and want advice on how best to position yourself? Send us an email and we'll connect you with a fellow UHS alum who can benefit from knowing you on a professional basis.

Back to School: New Year, New Résumé
Last spring, we offered résumé-writing workshops for UHS students, and over 1/4 of the senior class signed up! For this school year, we've developed some DIY resources (rules for résumé-building and an example of a résumé) so students can first create a first draft on their own—then we'll hold clinics for further refinement. This simple set of instructions gives advice on how to write a one pager resume with a professional format, with tips on how to include volunteer, academic, and all types of work experience.

Do you know of an internship that we can share with UHS alumni or current students? Send an email with the details to and we’ll post it here.

This Alumni Association Fireside Chat with Marc Zegans '79 focused on two biggies: the shift from student to working artist, and reinventing yourself no matter what your field, when simple mastery is no longer enough. Marc is the former Executive and Research Director of Harvard University's Innovations Program, and has been a creative development advisor to artists and creatively driven organizations for the past two decades.
