The Spring Arts Festival

Tuesday May 23, 5:30-8:30 PM
Jackson Street Gallery, Washington Street Foyer, UHS Theater

Join us for the Spring Arts Festival on Tuesday, May 23, 5:30-8:30 PM! For one exciting evening, see what the UHS Visual Arts and Music Classes have been up to during the spring semester!

Admission is FREE and Open to ALL!

First, at the Arts Show (5:30 in the Jackson Street Gallery and Washington Street Foyer), check-out the work of the Photography, Ceramics, and Drawing and Painting classes, as well as some arts-related Independent Studies. Also, see selections from the AP Studio Arts Class – each student in this class worked throughout the school year towards a body of work which culminated in a complete portfolio and showing in April.

Then, at the End-of-Year Concert (7:00 in the Theater), listen to the incredible music stylings from Jazz Combo, Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, Beginning Instrument Ensemble, and Advanced Choir. And don’t forget UHS’ student-led A Cappella group, The Satonics! The Jazz Combo finishes the 2022-23 school year highlighting the music of great American songbook composer Henry Mancini and Motown Soul Artist/composer Smokey Robinson. The Jazz & Contemporary Music Ensemble will close out the school year paying tribute to pioneering Jazz/Soul trumpeter and composer Freddie Hubbard as well as neo-soul/pop superstar Bruno Mars. Chamber Orchestra will play the entire Concerto for Four Violins in B minor Op. 3 No. 10 by Antonio Vivaldi. The Satonics will be performing the vibrant “Electric Love” and the beloved Broadway hit “Waving Through A Window.”

Support UHS' Student Artists and Musicians and close out the school year with wonderful art and music!
