What starts as a rom-com, abruptly devolves into a full-on tragedy in Romeo and Juliet, one of Shakespeare’s most well-known and frequently produced plays.
Two families, the Montagues and Capulets, have been feuding for a long time. A costume party is held at the Capulets, where Capulet's daughter, Juliet, falls in love with one of the teenagers crashing the party. It turns out he's Romeo, the son of the Montagues. They're young, they're in love, they decide to secretly elope, and they're helped by adults in the community who think that maybe this will end the feud between the families. But things don't work out as planned...
