UHS Seniors Lucas and Alex Perry '22 both named 2022 YoungArts Winners in the category of Jazz/Piano! The mission of the YoungArts program is to identify the most accomplished young artists in the visual, literary, and performing arts and provide them with creative and professional development opportunities and support throughout their careers. Their vision is to empower artists to pursue a life in the arts.

National Competition Winners are chosen for their caliber of artistic achievement by esteemed discipline-specific panels of artists through a rigorous blind adjudication process.

Winners are awarded in three categories: Finalist, Honorable Mention, and Merit. YoungArts award winners at all levels receive cash prizes. In addition to monetary awards, all winners receive a medallion, a lifetime of creative and professional support, and access to YoungArts Post—a private, online portal for YoungArts artists to connect, share their work and discover new opportunities.

Congratulations to Alex and Lucas!
