The Spring Concert
Friday, March 24, 7:00 PM
UHS Theater

Come celebrate the UHS Music Program and its many musicians at our annual Spring Concert on Friday, March 24, at 7:00 PM in the UHS Theater. The Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo, Yoshi’s Jazz Combo, Advanced Choir, Beginning Instrumental Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, and the Satonics, will be sharing their work at this special event.

The Jazz Combo Class, Yoshi's Jazz Combo, and the Jazz & Contemporary Music Ensemble will play a wide repertoire of Jazz, Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, and pop/funk classics. Compositions from luminaries in music such as Antonio Carlos Jobim, Cole Porter, Thelonious Monk, Brazilian guitar master and composer Luiz Bonfa, as well as original material. Advanced Choir will perform the late Romantic masterwork "Abendlied," or "evening song," alongside a stunning mixed media piece on gender by living composer TJ Cole. Chamber Orchestra & Beginning Instrumental Ensemble will play works from Antonio Vivaldi, Ennio Morricone and Alan Lee Silva. They will cover a wide range of repertoire from Western Classical Music to Jazz. And UHS’ very own a cappella group, The Satonics, will perform classic throwbacks by Journey and the Fugees.

This event is FREE for all and open to the public!

*While we cannot mandate that our audience wear masks, we highly recommend that you bring a mask (N95, KN95, K94) that covers your nose and chin to wear while watching the Spring Concert in the UHS Theater.
