The UHS Music Department is Proud to Present: The Fall Music Projects Recitals

• WHAT: The Fall Recitals!
 WHEN: Monday and Tuesday, December 5-6, Lunch
• WHERE: The UHS Theater
• WHY: Who doesn’t want to listen to the musical and vocal stylings of our illustrious UHS Music Department? 

On Monday and Tuesday, December 5-6, the UHS Flute Choir, Yoshi’s Jazz Combo (led by Terrence Brewer), and the students of VPX (led by Joel Chapman) will take the UHS stage to show us what they’ve been working on this semester. 

On Monday, December 5, 6 singers from Vocal Performance Experience (VPX) will perform a selection of pop and musical theater for all to enjoy.

Then, on Tuesday, December 6, Yoshi’s Jazz Combo will be performing a mix of classic Jazz and Soul Jazz standards composed by pianist Horace Silver, bassist Jimmy Heath, Jimmy Mundy, and more. The YJC features Purple Peterson ’23 – Clarinet/Bass Clarinet, Callum Nelson ’23 – Tenor Sax, Annika Peterson ’23 – Trumpet, Jonas Rosenman ’24 – Trumpet, Adam Zaidi ’24 – Piano, Wilder Kagay ’25 – Bass, and Jacob Shaul ’26 – Drums.

Also performing will be the UHS Flute Choir featuring Anika Gandhi ’24, Bryce Hoenigman ’24, Serina Jain ’24, Amelia Kwon ’24, Skye Hsu ’25, and Jasper Chan ’26. The Flute Choir will be performing a mix of spirited holiday medley’s, soulful chorales, and dynamic Classical concert repertoire.

This event is open to friends and family and admission is FREE! So, make sure you go to the Theater during lunch to check out their incredible work!
