After an extensive national search, Head of School Julia Russell Eells recently announced to the UHS community the appointment of Nathan Lundy as the school's new director of admissions and financial aid.

Nathan comes to UHS from Live Oak School in San Francisco, where he has served as the dean of students, supporting the student body there and aiding graduating eighth-graders with the high school placement process. Before that, Nathan was the associate director of admissions and outreach at Lick-Wilmerding for 10 years; he is also a Bay Area native and a Lick alumnus.

In her letter, Julia noted: "It was evident to the search committee that Nathan possesses the experience, talent, and passion to continue the forward momentum of our admissions program as we seek to enroll a diverse group of curious students who are aligned with our values, prepared for our challenging program, and ready to engage in an authentic and transformational high school experience." She also recognized the admirable leadership of outgoing director of admissions Aaron Mieszczanski, who has headed up the office of UHS Admissions and Financial Aid for the past five years, and will be stepping into the role of admissions director at Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles.

Congratulations to Nathan; we are thrilled to welcome him to UHS!
