The AP Studio Art class spends the majority of the school year producing a portfolio of artwork for submission to the AP College Board in May. Please join the Arts Department on April 4th from 5-7pm in the Jackson Street Gallery to celebrate the students of AP Studio Art 2019.

Gracie Feinberg ‘19 was devastated when her favorite teacher, chemistry instructor Kelly Peach, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Wanting to better understand how the disease was affecting Kelly, Gracie participated in an existing independent study project on the biology of cancer and created her own to replicate an art installation that showed the beauty and vulnerability of women’s bodies as they experienced cancer.
Part of University’s strategic design is an ongoing commitment to supporting innovation in its curriculum. This past summer, UHS held the first session of “Summer at UHS: Connect.Invent.Design.” The most popular course was The Game of Life: Financial Literacy, with mathematics instructor Megan Storti. “In this gamified course, we held conversations that inspired kids to have fun while learning about money as a tool,” says Megan.
