University High School continues to attract and retain a faculty of the highest caliber. Capable of motivating and inspiring, our teachers are fully dedicated to the development of their students; possess a thorough knowledge of their subject matter; and continuously work to foster their students' intellectual, emotional, and moral development.

Ours is an intellectually committed and professional faculty. Over three-quarters hold advanced degrees, and virtually all have substantial previous teaching experience. In addition to their myriad duties as teachers, advisors, club leaders, coaches, and committee members, UHS faculty members systematically take time for their own professional growth. With the assistance of a sizable professional development fund, faculty attend and present papers at regional and national conferences, travel abroad during the summers, and remain actively involved in their own study and scholarship. Our diverse, collaborative and inclusive UHS faculty serves as a living example to our students in their continual quest for knowledge and personal growth.
