Jobs and Internships
Do You Have a Summer Internship to Offer a Young Alum or Current Student?
We've heard from those of you who work for large companies that your employers start the summer intern hiring process for college students right about now, so we're asking you to send us links to those job descriptions which we'll share with our community on sfuhs.org/jobs. If you own or work for a smaller company that starts hiring for college or high school summer interns in the spring, let us know who you are and we'll follow up in the new year. Send an email to UHSalumni@sfuhs.org.

Private UHS Alumni Group on LinkedIn
Nearly 1,300 people—or one-third of all UHS alumni—belong to our private LinkedIn networking group. You can use this group to introduce yourself to a fellow alum or ask Marianna Stark, director of alumni engagement and giving, to facilitate the introduction on your behalf. Once you've requested permission to join (formalities!), you can make announcements, start a discussion, or post a job opening with your company. Click here to join our LinkedIn group.
Are you an expert in your field and want to share what you've learned along the way with a fellow alum on his/her/their way up? OR are you thinking of switching jobs or careers and want advice on how best to position yourself? Send us an email and we'll connect you with a fellow UHS alum who can benefit from knowing you on a professional basis.
Build Your Résumé
We've developed some DIY resources (rules for résumé-building and an example of a résumé) so students can create a first draft on their own—then attend a clinic for further refinement. This simple set of instructions gives advice on how to write a one-pager résumé in a professional format, with tips on how to include volunteer, academic, and all types of work experience.
PUBLICIZE AN INTERNSHIP OR JOB:
