Pottery Projects & Ceramics
Pottery Projects
Continued skill development using and adapting techniques from Ceramics 1 with a focus on functional vessel forms. Due to the Remote and Hybrid Learning scenarios much of this work was done at home in less than ideal circumstances. Yet, with admirable perseverance, and patience some remarkable projects were created. We made stuff and had fun in the process, nothing else needs to be said, except that it was an education!
Ceramics II
Students finished their Self-Portrait Animals, and then completed an intensive design section, learning CAD software along with contemporary practices and theories implemented by designers far and wide. Unfortunately, the schedule did not allow for the final mold-making process so their product here is still in the first iteration of 3D prints. Hopefully, students now appreciate a systematic approach to creative solutions!
