The purpose of this short evaluation (5-10 minutes) is to determine which of our musical ensembles is best suited to your abilities and interests. Jazz Ensemble, Advanced Choir and Chamber Orchestra require a placement evaluation. Vocal performance classes and Jazz Combo are open to all students. Please bring a piece of music to play for us. This can be something you are working on at school or in private lessons, something you learned on your own, or something you wrote yourself. All interested students are encouraged to audition. If you do not play an instrument but would like to, we encourage you to sign up for beginning instrumental music class. Please remember that this is merely a placement. Regardless of your ability level, there will be space for you in our music program.
