Language Form - Teacher

Your student is enrolling at University High School for the Fall of 2021. Please complete the following questionnaire and submit it to us no later than Friday, April 16.

Language placement is based on the results of the placement evaluation and your recommendation. Please keep in mind, and counsel your students, that the number of years of study does not necessarily coincide with the level in which they will be placed. The most common placement is in the first two levels; advanced linguistic proficiency and academic maturity may make placement in higher levels appropriate.

Our goal is that each student enrolls in a class that assures both success and challenge. These placements are not made competitively; there isn't a limited number of spots for each level. If a family questions a placement, we will certainly re-examine the record, but the final decision is the School’s. At any point in the year, if we discover that a particular placement is not serving the student, we will make the appropriate change.
