Welcome to the UHS Chamber Orchestra’s Winter 2020 concert! In the short time we had before Thanksgiving break our ten members recorded four pieces for the Winter Arts Festival. The first is a short Dance from 1551 by the Flemish composer Tielman Susato. We then move ahead over 200 years to the Classical period for Mozart’s Overture to his opera The Abduction from the Seraglio. Our third piece is an arrangement of Schubert’s most popular song, Ave Maria of 1825. Two short Romanian Dances by Bartok from 1917 round out our concert. We will record one more piece this week to share with you next month. We hope you enjoy our performances!
