MLK Day Symposium

The annual MLK Day Symposium is a required school day, when all members of the community attend workshops on a wide range of topics centered on equity and social justice as well as racial affinity groups. The workshop sessions are offered by UHS students and adults, often in collaboration. The day begins with a keynote speaker (past speakers include W. Kamau Bell, Mohammed Bilal, Clarence Jones, Yusef Salaam, Madihha Ahussain, Erika González, among others) and continues with discussions in racial affinity groups, followed by two workshop sessions.
