Clubs & Affinity Groups

Students are encouraged to take initiative to develop all-school activities that promote fun and provide a change of pace. We believe that the process of empowering students to create meaningful—and fun!—events provides them with an opportunity to demonstrate responsibility and take ownership over positively influencing school culture.

Students at UHS have the opportunity to pursue their passions and gather with other students and adults for activities and discussions based on these interests. The daily schedule was designed to allow students time to meet. Every year, students invent new clubs and have fun trying out new things.

During a typical lunchtime period you might expect to find:

  • Behavior and Society Club

  • Books & Tea

  • Business and Investment Analysis

  • Current Events Club

  • Finance Club

  • Flight Club Aerospace

  • Hiking Club

  • Jewelry Club

  • Society of Women Engineers

  • Sports Analytics Club

  • The Sharpest Tool in the Shed (aka Gardening Club)

  • The Vibe Coding Club or VCC

  • UHS Architecture Club

  • UHS Pathway to Medicine
  • Youth for Common Sense
