Mental Health Support at UHS

The Nature of Mental Health Support at UHS

Adolescence is a time of discovery, growth, and transition. Counseling support at University High School is available to all students who need to talk about life. Whether there is an urgent need, a long-term struggle, or even a need to talk through good things happening – we are here for you!  Counseling services are generally short-term, and we can also assist families in identifying longer term therapeutic spaces outside of the school. Through counseling, students can better understand their experience in a confidential space. We strive to meet students where they are, listen deeply to their experiences in a supportive, non-judgmental manner, and offer responses that are solution focused and practical.
