After-School Program

Tutoring Program

Summerbridge provides academic support to students during the school year with the After-School Program. Monday through Thursday, Summerbridge students come to University High School for hour-long tutoring sessions beginning at 4:00 p.m. Tutors are University High School students who have been trained by the Summerbridge staff and receive ongoing support in their role as tutors.

Any student receiving below a B- in a class is required to attend tutoring. All students are encouraged to take advantage of the additional support. If you are a Summerbridge student who is interested in receiving tutoring, please contact Christina (contact info below).

If you are currently a University High School student who is interested in becoming a tutor, please contact Christina (contact info below). Tutors are eligible to receive community service credit by volunteering in the After-School Program.

If you have any questions, please contact Christina Donahue, associate director of academics, at (415) 447-5810 or christina.donahue@sfuhs.org.

All current Summerbridge students must take one class per semester. Classes are held Tuesday through Thursday, from 4:30–6:15 p.m.
